Juan Ángel González Insaurralde is a reference in the international freight transport insurance sector, with more than three decades of experience. Among his greatest achievements is the implementation of transport insurance distribution in collaboration with freight forwarders, offering innovative solutions for importers and exporters. This advance included the issuance of the 'Open Policy' and the adaptation of the floating policy to modern concepts of digitalization and online distribution, marking a before and after in the industry.
Thanks to his strategic vision, Juan Ángel has led the creation and expansion of multiple companies, including Assekuransa Compañía de Seguros S.A., Assekuransa Peninsular S.L., and Assekuransa International LLC. These companies offer specialized services in insurance, logistics, and agribusiness, consolidating their presence in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. His diversified and sustainable approach has allowed the group to position itself as a key player in the global market, achieving a significant impact across different sectors.
In 2023, Juan Ángel González Insaurralde drove the creation of Assek Europe Compañía de Seguros y Reaseguros S.A.U., a personal project that marked his foray into the European market. This new insurer specializes in solutions for international transport insurance, standing out for its innovative approach and ability to face the challenges of one of the world's most competitive markets.
