Assek Europe strengthens its structure with three key appointments
Assek Europe, a mono-line insurer specialized in cargo transport insurance, has announced the incorporation of Francisco Javier Rosales Alonso as Claims Manager, and Fernando Tomasello Cuenca and Juan Emilio Siegfried Párraga as new members of the Commercial Department.
These appointments strengthen the company's value proposition—specialization, agility, service, integrity, and personalization—and its growth plan in Spain and, progressively, in the EU through Freedom of Services (FoS).
“Our goal is to be the partner of choice for brokers, freight forwarders, and shippers. To achieve this, we continue to attract talent with real experience in logistics and transport, capable of providing fast and clear answers in underwriting and claims,” stated Carmen Castellano, CEO of Assek Europe.
Francisco Javier Rosales is a specialist in marine and cargo claims management with experience at Royal Sun & Alliance (RSA), where he managed claims under Freedom of Services (FoS) and dealt with brokers, adjusters, and lawyers from the UK and Europe. He holds a Law degree (University of Granada) and a University Master's in Maritime Law and Business Management (IME/ICADE).
For his part, Fernando Tomasello joins the Commercial Department with a solid track record in insurance, purchasing and supply, and strategic planning. He has worked at Ecopetrol (Colombia and USA), Endesa (Spain), Navetrans (Argentina), Unsworth Ltd. (UK), and Seguros del Estado (Colombia). He holds a degree in Foreign Trade, an Executive MBA (Universidad Pontificia Comillas), and the CAPM certification (PMI).
He will be joined by Juan Emilio Siegfried, who holds a Master's in International Maritime Law and Maritime Business Management (European University), as well as a Master's in International Finance (IEB). He also has experience in multinational environments (CBRE, Swissquote, X-Trade Brokers, FE fundinfo) with a special focus on financial analysis, business development, and client relationship, and has received international training with stays at LSE, Wharton, and CUHK.
“These additions allow us to raise the bar on what our clients value most: agile decision-making, technical criteria, and support throughout the entire risk journey. Our commitment is to offer clear quotes in hours, well-defined coverages, and proactive, close claims management,” Castellano pointed out.
